What’s a girl supposed to do?

Girls need accurate information on safety and risk--information they don’t normally get from school, MTV, or talking with friends.

In American culture, girls have freedoms unlike what can be expected in many other cultures. At the same time, our freedom to be often leads us into situations where we are personally at risk.

If we are to take advantage of our freedoms, we need to be prepared to handle the risks we encounter, but that all too often isn’t the case.

While we haven’t quite figured out online skills training… the MLS GRRLs Clubhouse exists to offer girls a space of their own, a place to find accurate safety information, a forum for writing from other girls that may help guide them through this crazy world. At MLS, we believe in girls, and we invite them to share and participate and act as guides and mentors for other girls.
